My instrument panel lights won't work. I've checked the obvious fuses, etc. It must be a ground or ? Can anybody help me find a place to start?

Re: Dash lights
Hi Barry, It could be the coil inside the light switch that makes contact with the dimmer mecanizum (not making proper contact) (dirty inside)
1- take switch out and clean contacts.
2- replace switch
hopefully your headlights work and your dash lights aren't burnt out.
good luck.

Re: Dash lights
Barry turn the headlight switch all the way to the left to turn on the interior lights. If the interior lights work what you probably have is a broken reostat that connects to the terminal that the light switch is touching when turned all the way counterclock wise and to the dash light connection on the switch. Replacement of the light switch will fix the problem. On my 70 the reostat wire burned into. The reostat wire is easily seen when you remove the switch.- Top

Re: Dash lights
You sure you've got the right fuse? I beleive it's the little tiny half size one that sits horizontally.- Top
