The answer is, sort of. The protecto plate listed the drivetrain of the vehicle information. Specifically, the engine, the transmission and the rear axle assembly.

So if the vehicle were equipped with an optional engine, trans and rear end ratio, those would be listed on this plate, however this plate would also list the standard basic equipment the vehicle was ordered with.

Were power windows, brakes, AC, radio, etc. listed? I'm told they were not in the mid 60s but were in the 70s.

Your copy of the '69 AIM (Assembly Instruction Manual) should define the Protect-o-plate's information by Hollarith field, code(s) used, and their meaning....
