1968 Shift Boot

There was a 1968 Shift Boot listed in ebay under item $ 4540331278 that was bid up to $125.50 yesterday and it ended without the reserve getting met! These things are getting pricy! Sure wish they would start making a repo one, as I need one also. I didn't bid on it. For that money I thought the point deduction was an acceptible hit.

Paragon sells a repo they call "as original." It's about $31. I think.

According to the JG, there was an "early" and "late" boot. Maybe the pricey ones are the early ones. I have a late car, so for once, I luck out!

You can get these at many of the suppliers of repo's, such as CC or Volunteer Vettes etc.

I looked at the Paragon one and its the 69 model. The JG says the 68 has a single fold bellows and the 69 has two. I printed out the picture of the one on ebay and its different (only has one bellows) from the one Paragon sells (has two). Looks like us 68 owners keep looking.
