If my tank sticker says the date of Prod. was 69/11/21 and the body build date shows P13, approximately when would this car have gotten to the dealer? Vehicle was delivered to Knapp Chevrolet, Houston, TX. Any help is, as always, much appreciated.

Re: '69 delivery question
Marc
My 68 has a body date on the trim tag of July 18,1968 (L18) and was delivered to the first owner on July 31, 1968. It was delivered in NY state, on Long Island. I guess we can assume it got to the dealer a day or 2 before that. He was waiting for it, so it did not sit for long. I think the tank sticker is "projected build date" or something like that, not the actual build date. Unless of course, they were good about building them when they said they would. I may be wrong about this as that area of my tank sticker is hard to read.
Hope this helps. If you have the POP, it says when it was delivered to the customer.

Re: '69 delivery question
According to the 68-69 JG, it is November, 69. "Q" is the last month of production (December). First was August, 1968 "A".

The "expected date of production" on the tank sticker was an estimate given at the time the dealer order was accepted for production by the plant, well in advance of its build date; you'll note that 11/21/69 was a Friday - ALL "expected dates of production" are Fridays- Top
