I have a 67 roadster with a near perfect body(other than paint)and a rusty frame.I would like to inspect and resolve the frame issues ASAP. Assuming I support the body properly is it any big deal to remove the body before striping, sanding and painting? I looked at the archives and am a little scared to do this. What are the latest thoughts. Also, anybody have a dolly for a roadster I could borrow, rent or buy that is not to far from Jacksonville, Fl. Also looking for a good painter. Thanks Chuck.

Re: body off frame timing
You can do all body work on a dolly as long as its properly braced. That way you can be working both major sections Body and Chassis at the same time.
My dolly is available in Greenville SC. Easier to construct a new one than come here....- Top

Re: body off frame timing
Chuck,
I'm doing a body off restoration on my 66 coupeBB now. It is not real hard to take the body off. I have a body off document if you want it. You do need a frame work and 1 or 2 other people to help when removing the body. I also have dolly drawings. Let me know if I can help.
Good luck,
Jim- Top
