    c2 AM/FM radio removal

Well, I have the original radio free behind the console. But it sure does not want to rotate out. The auto is a 65 AC 350 roadster. Any tips to complete the
    removal successfully? Thanks.

Also helps to remove center metal console ...

.... the following Delco instructions are more elaborate than neccessary (IMO).

-- Remove both radio side panels
-- (as Bill said) remove lower heat duct
-- Remove radio support screw lower RH
-- Remove knobs and hex nuts
-- Remove glove box Disconnect speaker, antenna and power connections
-- Carefully tilt radio top back. It may now be removed by carefully
      manipulating through the side

-- Be sure to peak antenna trimmer after reinstallation, or radio performance may suffer.

I have never removed the heater duct or glove box and can have a radio in or out in about 15 mins. on my 67 with A/C.

Sometimes the console needs to be removed. On a '65 this should be easy work. On a '67 is is a PIA as the E-brake needs to be re-adjusted.
