I'm not there yet but, was kind of (wondering) as to early vette 56, 57 was radio same as to markings, did they all fit and lastly would any of the early G.M. or chevy wonderbar fit in hole of 57 I have had a 56 chevy in hole of my 57 and it fits ok but would someday like to find something more near the right one. thanks in advance

Paul. Stick with a '56 or '57. Be sure it is for a Corvette. Lots of guys on eBay try and push off the Chevy and the power pack is not a good fit. It will cost you big bucks. I got a brand new power pack, (only) without the tuner, which I alread had. I paid close to a $1000 for an orginal, never installed power pak. I still had to take it to have it rebuilt as the caps go bad with age. Now, here is a great thought. I have been reading other posts and here is a site to check on. If you are not worried about points, I think this is a good way to go. http://www.antiqueautomobileradio.com They look great and it will give you stereo and AM/FM Good Luck.
