What is the correct part number for a non p/b master cylinder, please? Also, date code of D6 and Julian code of 314 indicates what? Should DC stamping be on the part or not? Thanks for responding.

Re: 67 master cylinder part number
Dennis:
The *casting* number for the standard brake master cylinder in 1967 was 5455509, and is featured prominently on the side opposite the brake line outlets. The letters D6, also cast into the unit, indicate a mold number. I do not know what the 314 is that you refer to. Is it cast into the unit or stamped somewhere? And yes, the letters DC should be stamped on a machined area on the front of the unit, facing up.- Top
