1967 soft top storage lid overspray

My 67 is in the paint shop, and the painter noticed that the underside of the soft top storage lid had some overspray of original color on the fiberglass as well as the latches, release lever, and cables. Does that sound orginal, or was the painting done before the hardware was installed?

    Brent,

The paint that is on the underside of your decklid is correct. The entire underside, including all of the latch hardware and cables, would have been panted body color. It was more than just overspray. It was an intended target and should have a substantial coat of color.

Michael, Thank you very much for your rapid response. I have already notified the painter to leave that area as is. THANX, Brent
