    One Man Operation

I want to purge the old brake fluid from my 1G1YY0789F51280xx Corvette and replace with fresh DOT3. I am looking for a one man operation.
After suctioning out both reserviors and refilling with fresh DOT3, will opening each bleeder "gravity bleed" each caliper.
    Thanks in advance.

I think you would be better off buying a pressure bleeder to force the old fluid out. My opinion, gravity bleeding does not have enough force or volume to scrub the old crud out.

For some reason, Corvette dual master cylinders don't like to bleed too well for me unless I use a pressure bleeder. Single cylinders bleed fine.

If you're handy with tools, you can make your own pressure bleeder with a yard sprayer, a block of alumminum, hose clamp, piece of rubber and a 6 inch or so "C" clamp. Or, you can forget the yard sprayer and use 10-15# air pressure off your favorite source.

There is also one man bleeder valves but I know nothing about them.

      One Man Bleeder Valves

Sold OTC as Speed Bleeders. Don't waste your money on them. Any crud in the system will foul them right away, render them useless.

I have to agree with McFast on this one, pressure bleeding is the way to go.

I still prefer the suction method.

I made a pressure bleeder exactly as Mike described, using my compresser at 10 psi. It works better than anything I tried before. Just keep a good eye on the level of fluid as you bleed. Easy one man operation

Get one of these and it's a one-man operation, and you don't have to keep checking/refilling the master cylinder reservoir; takes the aggravation out of bleeding Corvette disc brakes.

              Re: One Man Operation/Mike's Method?

What is the method Mike suggested? I would be interested to know as this is not one of my favorite things to do. Thanks!!
