I'm buying all the parts I need to rebuild my tach-drive distributor for my 1972 corvette coupe 350CID. Reason for rebuild is that cross-gear is chewed up on the gear and the main shaft, and advance doesn't operate properly (vacuum and spring weights) due to age and rust. There is no play in the shaft. Do I really need to change upper and lower bushings, or can I get away with leaving them in? Is there a really good tear-down/rebuild article I can get online somewhere?
Thanks for your help.
