    I just bought the radial wide whitewalls from Diamondback Tire in Myrtle Beach. They look great but don't fit in the tub by a long shot. Bought redlines for my big block 66 roadster from the same source and they are holding up nicely. The Coker tires did not have the high speed ratings.

        Is there a recommended tire re: manufacturer and model that you guys are using on your mid year drivers?

            What ever is priced the best and fits your comfort level.

                I run Michelin 205/75/R15's on my 63. Nice ride and no fit problems...i.e. no rub on the frame or fender. When I put my repro Firestone bias ply tires on for "judging" and drive the car, it's scary. The bias ply tires are much more noisy, and they seem to find every "groove" in the road to track. Chuck
