An Al Knoch dated soft top was purchased. A company in my state that was recommended installed the top. Did a beautiful job, but get this, the installer removed the washing instructions tag! Needless to say, I was hot. The installer has offered to obtain a new tag and sew it in place. If this is done, will it look like a patch job, or like it has always been there? I am hoping for the latter. Thanks for your comments. Wayne

Re: 57 Soft Top Washing Instructions Tag
Wayne, first thing is to shoot the installer. Secondly, check out Paragon for a replacement tag. They can be sewn on but I think that you would end up with a double stitch. The original was sewn in when the first seam was made leaving one continuous stitch. For judging you can also stick it on at the thread line with two sided tape and mostly likely get by just fine. I would suggest that you buy two or three. They are like blotter paper and when they get wet they get pretty ugly. They are not very expensive and that way you always have a nice fresh one to use.

Re: 57 Soft Top Washing Instructions Tag
I think this is nuts. My '69 came with the tag and I took it off. I did keep the tag, but I certainly don't ride around with it on. This reminds me of the points deduction for my 1969 dealer installed luggage rack. This is another of those reasons to never have my close to perfect driver judged.- Top
