Hi Guys,
We removed the windshield frame from a buddies 62 today and of course it comes as no surprise that the post tabs are broken.
He is going to do the CC repair but is it wisest to have the posts rechromed after the repair?
The reason I ask is depending on the milling tolerences will the tabs be too tight after the rechroming or do they just bolt "on" to rather than "in" to the posts?
When I had mine rechromed I had clearence problems with the upper channel to post union which I presume was due to a "thicker" plating.
Any advise as the best proven method will be much appreciated.
Mark.
