Does anyone know of a source for black lacquer paint in a rattle car? I have a few small items to paint on my '66 and I would like to use lacquer in a rattle can if anyone sells it this way. Any suggestions?
I've seen black lacquer in rattle cans at Ace Hardware. Not sure, but I think it was there own house brand. If you can't score where you are, I'll try to pick up some and ship you some UPS ground.
They sell the setup with a nice glass jar and disposable air cans. This way you could have your auto paint supplier mix the correct black ( the pitch can change) and have the convenience of a spray can. I found one in Home depot but I'm sure almost any hardware store will have them. Cut your lacquer 125% with a mid-temp thinner and your ready to paint.
