Trying to replace the ignition switch, Removed the key core, but cannot figure out how to get the old switch out? The manual calls for a J-7607 special tool that I cannot find in the manual? Can this tool be rented at a NAPA's - Checker, etc. Also need to replace the windshield washer switch?

I don't know what year you are working on, but whatever you can turn the nut with should remove it.

Bob -

The chrome bezel just unscrews - you don't need the special tool; use a piece of rubber to pad the jaws of a pair of pliers and it will come right off.

Thanks, John, will that also work for the windshild wiper bezel?

Yes, but you can also use the points on a pair of needlenose pliers on that one.
