    ORIGINAL RADIATOR ????

ON AN ORIGINAL COPPER RADIATOR FOR A 1972 CORVETTE WITH A 454 AND A 4 SPEED WITHOUT AIR, WAS THERE A RADIATOR CAP ON THE RADIATOR ITSELF OR WAS THERE JUST AN OVERFLOW HOSE GOING FROM A SMALL PIPE AT THE UPPER RIGHT HAND CORNER OF THE RADIATOR TO THE EXPANSION TANK WHICH HAD THE CAP. THANKS IN ADVANCE, DOUG

      Doug-----

ALL 1969-72 Corvette big blocks used a radiator with an external supply tank and NO radiator filler provisions on the radiator, itself. The radiators used for 69-72 big blocks were copper/brass, except for 1969 L-88/ZL-1 with manual transmission and 71 ZR-2 with manual transmission which used aluminum radiators.
