    ' 65 AFB Carb mounting / 300hp

I'm trying to figure out the corret layers of gaskets, before mounting this carb to the manifold. Are there just three pieces or should there be one more gasket. The order I think it should go is intake manifold / gasket / black spacer / metal spacer / carb. Is this correct or should there be another gasket between the metal spacer and the carb making it four pieces? I have checked all available sources of reference for this and can't seem to find anything. I have checked the Assembly Manual / Judging Manual (old edition) / Nolan Adams Book / Shop Manual / various aftermarket catalogues..........
    Thanks for the help!!

    Zachary -

The "sandwich" is correct as you've described it - intake, gasket, insulator, baffle, carb.

The '63 AIM clearly shows the parts and assembly sequence, and so should your '65 AIM, but you have to look in the RPO L-75 section since it was an optional engine.

The main sections of the AIM show the "base" configuration. Option configurations exploded drawings are in the RPO section at the back in alphanumeric order.
