    security worries.

Since My car has been under wraps for almost 22 years. And few in this area even knows I have it, am I opening myself up to theif possibilities by taking it to Park City?

(Believe it or not) My wife and I have been to NY twice, and Canada many times from Ca. and we drive the hell out of it. Never ever had a problem with people ( even in the worst areas) young and old are so excited to see it, that most at first don't even know what it is, but every one has been good to use. It's something about driving old cars and just talking to then with respect. We cant lock it , but we do carry a large insurance policy.%99 of people are good people but it could happen. That is the reason we don't own a car trailer, every time we drive her it's delighting to see their faces and meet people.
We get more satisfaction driving it often 100,000 mile so fare on a total restoration 23 years ago, then we would ever had owning a trailer queen or letting it sit in the garage and bring out once or twice a year.
But we are crazy happy people loving our little old beater 55 Corvette.
So come with your 55 and we can mate them.Ha! Ha!

        Dennis,

Like Roy, we drive our 57, last year from Oklahoma to Bowling Green, 2003 to Nashville and on to North Carolina, this year we will drive it to Park City.

So, get it out, drive it and enjoy. As Roy said, most people are suprised and happy to see an old Corvette on the road.

I look forward to seeing you driving it in Park City.

        Verle

NCRS??!!! Roy, you can't even get those "home boys" in Nu Yawk Citee to steal it! You gotta quit parking in those housing projects just to collect the insurance.

Dennis, all NCRS regional meets and national conventions I have been to have secured parking for Corvettes. This usually consists of paid security personnel during the "off hours" when no NCRS activities are happening. I feel pretty certain that Park City will be the same, but I have not been looking for it in the write-ups since I will be taking the State Bird of Texas.

Take some comfort that there is safety in numbers...if theives are going to steal one, there will be so many nice Corvettes there that making a choice will be hard for them.

If you have had the car "under wraps" for 22 years what fun have you gotten out of it?. Use it and enjoy it, or else sell it to someone who will.

                    It's really NOT anything Special

Takes Ed's advice VERY SERIOUSLY! Do one or the other. After all it's JUST an old car.

I know it's teasing and it's OK I also teas , but some people have no humor and that's when some respond ugly. Dennis and I do it often to each other making fun of each other and some people think were mean.
