    432 Coil?

I'm rebuilding my '69 L71 with K66, and I've found that someone has put in a points-type distributor along the way.

The coil is 432 B-R, and the distributor has no metal band around the neck between the manifold and the base of the distributor.

Other "wrong" parts have been from different year corvettes, does anyone know of this coil?

Likewise, is there a way to ID the distributor w/o a metal band?

    Thanks in advance for help.

    Re: 432 Coil?

Dunno about the coil, but the tach-drive point distributors are all the same except for the calibration parts (autocam, weights, springs, and vacuum advance unit); the combination of the calibration parts determined which band went on it. Mechanically/dimensionally, they're all the same.
