    C1 Antenna Cable

I have to replace the antenna cable on my 1960. Any suggestions on how to do this? I was thinking of taping the new cable to the old one starting in the trunk and snaking it through to the radio.

i had to replace the coax on my 54 vet years ago. the factory had smeared a glob of resin where the able entered the trunk which had to be removed in order to get the old cable out. i tied a string to the old cable then fished the new one in with the help of the string.use stout string.good luck, mike

Taping them together should work. Just cut the end of the old one and make the connection as smooth as you can. We run cables in restaurants like that all the time. butt them together and use lots of strong tape and taper it so it won't catch on anything.
