I can't get my water pump gaskets to stop leaking. After I jack the motor up and get the bolts started real good, my logic was to let it down so the weight is where it will be and then tighten. Should I tighten all the bolts and then let it take the weight or should it matter. My last attempt has the water streaming out the top left bolt hole.

Are both sides of the engine mount bracket smooth and free of any pits in the gasket area? Use fresh gaskets (two on each side of the pump) with a film of sealer on both sides of both gaskets, and use thread sealer on the bolts.
It's easier to load and secure the "sandwich" if you use two threaded studs, one at the top hole on each side, load the "sandwich" of parts over the studs, install the two lower bolts, then remove the studs and replace them with the upper bolts; prevents wiping sealer off the gaskets or damaging them while you're trying to manipulate all the parts and get the bolts started.
