    C1 Oil Pan

I am not sure whether or not my oil pan on my 57 needs to be replaced. I was going to replace it because I thought it was dented. Then I saw a picture of one on the Paragon website and it looks like the concave 'dent' on the bottom is normal. I need some advice.

    Not Normal, but maybe...

...some skilled body work could salvage it... I wonder how many people found the need to try and lift their car using a jack under the pan.

Mine ('62), was also dented. I was working with a company that made up show cars for me and the guy in the body shop took it and pounded the heck out of it. Brought it back to right shape but not quite perfectly smooth(some very minor dents/undulations). I used a little fiberglass bondo to smooth it out. Not a lot but I did not want to use regular bondo or primer putty to fill. worked out great. Will see how long it last.
