"B" Coded Rally Wheels

Anyone have production information relating to 67 "B" coded rally wheels? All books refer to "DC" or "DG".

Doug,

I don't have production information on the B code wheel but I can tell you that my early production 67 vette has two of them along with DC code wheels. I also purchased a DG code at Carlisle years ago and I can't tell any difference in any of the wheels.

I had a '67 that was under #900 and all five wheels were B code.

The wheels I looked at were on a very early 67 - wheels painted black with "B" code.

Doug - There are reports that very early 1967 Corvette wheels were black. I think Noland Adams' book mentions that. As others have mentioned, many early 67 Corvettes had "B" stamped rallye wheels. I have 5 on my early '67 (S/N 1476) but they have the silver paint on the front as you'll find on later '67 Corvette wheels. So far, all the "B" wheels I have seen have a 9 66 production code. BTW, the Corvette was not the only vehicle that used these wheels. Pete
