    Re: trim code tag

    Mornin' Shane,

Your questions are not "picky", and we all had the same ones once. I would not mess with either tag. What ever has happened to damage the trim tag is now a part of your cars history. Since the tag can still be read, leave it. Repro trim tags are available, but if you have your car judged, it will be discovered. Put yourself in a judges place and ask why this trim tag was changed. A replaced trim tag is always a red flag. Even if you bring your old tag to show the judges, you will still lose points. As to the VIN plate, if it is dirty, you can try cleaning it with some mild cleaner. I wouldn't use any thing else. bill
