C2 Power Antenna Coating

What is the coating on the power antenna body? Is there anything out there that will work and give the correct looking color?

Mike: I worked at a packing house for many years and over in the box shop they used a small square piece of plastic glue that when melted sealed the boxes. I often thought this melted material was a dead ringer for the coating that was used to cover my power antenna when manufactured. Any way you might try and find a manufacturing place that build its own boxes, they may have some of this type adhesive. As I remember the melting pot was big enough to accept the whole antenna body............Just a thought. Thanks for the help on my coupe doors, you sent me some great e-mails

I asked the same question several months ago. I was directed to ppg coatings. I sent and email and recieved a reply from Mark Rapson. He wanted more information and I got busy and did not provide it. You might want to start there.

Did you ever have woodworking/metalworking tools professionally sharpened? They usually come back with a protective plastic dipped coating that looks very close to material you're trying to emulate. If you can find it in the amber color, that might be the answer.
