Was the undercoat applied to the wheel wells of the 67 coupe at final assembly or before, i.e. should there be over spray on the frame etc?

The undercoat/sound deadener was applied prior to body assy (wiring, windows etc.) just after painting and before blackout. There should be NO overspray on the frame or even the covers for the body mount #4 position in the rear wheel well area. These covers were not installed until the body was on the frame.
