I purchased reproduction braided plug wires for my '70 454 as I believe they are correct for the engine. Or as correct as reproduction allows. My mechanic says that in his experience with braided plug wires is that they short out faster but gave no opinion as to why. The JG offers a couple of possible reasons for short outs. Has anyone experienced this with braided plug wires?
yes, I put a set on from AC-Delco, they lasted a few years. I just put on a set of repos so we will see what kind of service they have. I dont know why the first ones did
