    C-1 '62 Clutch

I have a 327 250 hp. I need to replace my clutch assembly - the disc is fairly worn so now is the time. I want to maintain the original "touch" or foot pressure.

I see that Corvette Central has an assembly (pressure plate, disc, etc.) any experience if this is the "proper" replacement?

Also, any other sources to obtain this assembly - maybe locally (So. Ca)?

    Thanks

Pretty thorough prior threads in the archieves on the topic of replacment clutch assy's including recommendations from several on what they like in terms of 'off-the-shelf' brands available from your local discount autoparts store...

Last, not mentioned is possibility of having the old clutch you've grown used to rebuilt with a fresh Kevlar face. Figure that'll be about half price what you'll pay for an all new clutch assy...

Some have had bad experience with locally rebuilt cluch assy's, but a fella who does this in our neck of the woods has an excellent reputation for his work, so it 'can' be done right...
