    64-65 Corvette A/C condenser

    corvette a c condenser bill clupper does anyone have any experience with obtaining an accurate replacement a c condenser for the system a reproduction is offered by corvette central but i haven't seen one to compare to the original has anyone experience to offer with this piece or one from another source the system is all original but the hoses need changed internal cracks and the condensor is weak on cosmetics although it appears to be original i don't really want to chance it springing a leak and leaking all that expensive r if i can find a suitable replacement any help please respond here or e mail slowmobile aol com thanks clup

      re corvette a c condenser brandon i'm not sure on the condensers but on the 's i've been told that they are the same visually except for the mounting brackets therefore if the brackets from an original were mounted on the new unit it should be an almost perfect replica i believe also that if the condenser has been sealed then it should be ok i would have it pressure leak tested anyway old air products in texas can do this for you

          re corvette a c condenser jack humphrey had a similar problem with my ' couldn't find a correct original and went to shop the reproductions one of our ncrs chapter members deals in corvette parts and said why not get a real one from ac delco went on to say older stuff that's out of stock can still be gotten on a special order basis this was news to me so i gave him the green light and about four weeks later a correct condensor showed up new in ac pack it's in and works a ok don't know how far back they'll go with this service but it might be worth the inquiry

              re corvette a c condenser loren bill i bought one a few years ago from dillon's brockett rd tucker ga sorry no phone number they were regular advertisers in hemmings i bought their model for my ' can't remember the price but it was reasonable now if i could just get it on the car loren
