67 no. 4 body mount reinforcement

What is the finish of the no 4 body mount reinforcement on a convertible? Is it covered with undercoating and black out?

A metal plate is rivited to the body in the middle of the rear wheel well. It measures about six inches square. Most of it is vertical, with the top portion dished to conform to the top of the wheet well. I have the same question about this piece.

67 Coupe - unrestored - shim tape still in place. Looks like the plate is black and that maybe that black was originally on the glossy side.

Wheel well bracket is for the shoulder harness option. I painted my new #4 brackets black, hope that's right.
