    1954 cast and stamped numbers

Looking at a 54 vette, cast number on head is 3835913. Numbers on block are 292613T54Y and CON9E35 the C could possibly be an O. The numbers tell me this is not a 54 vette engine. If this not a vette engine and head, does any one know from the numbers what they might be?
    Thanks

Re: 1954 cast and stamped numbers

You need the cast number and cast date off the block, but all "Y" stampings I have seen are a correct 911 block, as used in trucks. I don't know what the head application is. All you need is a "G" stamp.

Re: 1954 cast and stamped numbers

The E35 would be a cast date of May 3, 1955.

The T54Y indicates assembly in Tonawanda, NY, not Flint, Michigan

Also, the "number sequence" is missing a digit for 54 application. Should be a 7 digit number, not 6.

Don't know about the head #. The "214" is an original Corvette head. Chuck
