    Don't know how often they changed the broach, but but a fresh one would probably leave less obvious tool marks than a worm one.

      Duke, I always thought the same that fresh tooling would leave finer marks than worn. I talked with some GM engineers that were familiar with the Flint engine line and they stated that it was the opposite, new tooling would leave more visible marks.
