although both places you have refrenced always seems to have the highest prices.

I often wonder why the prices have not come around on these cars.

The only thing I can think of is alot of folks say the real muscle cars stopped being made in the earley 70'S

        Larry:

I believe your last statement to be correct.

Ford - 1971 Mustang 429 Super Cobra Jet Drag pack, 1971 Boss 351 Mustang.

Chrysler - 1971 Hemi anything or 440 SIX PACK cars.

GM - Chevrolet, Buick, Olsmobile, Pontiac still had a performance version of their former icon for 1971, with one outstanding last gasp for the '73,'74 year for Pontiac's SD 455.

          Warren,
I've been watching LS-6 cars for a while and the certainally have arrived and correctly so. It seems overdue. Any thoughts as to when the LT-1 cars will do similiar things.?? Maybe they will when the big blocks all go over 100K.

            Dave:

I don't think it will be too far in the distant future. I've been tempted to buy every '70,'71 LT-1 coupe I see show up for sale, with some form of documentation that is listed at what I think is below FMV. I believe these cars to be the last bargain out there.

              Warren,
The LT-1's are considerably rarer than the LS-5 cars and I personally think they perform better than the Big Block cars. JMHO. They certainally are easier to maintain. Just something else to watch I guess.

Warren, As I have one of these rare, original and documented cars, I am eager for the recognition.

I do as well ('70 LT-1 convertible), but I have to accept the fact that the "recognition" for me is not going to be financial 'cause I ain't ever selling it, no how, no way!!! (of course, thats assuming my wife extends her gracious permission of my continued ownership of it along with my other toys). But I have to admit, with the "stupid money" prices alot of cars are bringing now, not just Vettes, it sure gets your attention, huh?

                    You and me both!

By the way, the red LS-6 coupe bids ended at $155,100, not meeting reserve.
