I am cleaning up and reinstalling my headlamp sub-body assemblies. I see in the AIM a call out to use "3686683 (8.0 oz.) undercoating seal back of headlight and body panel around entire joint after assembly to prevent water leakage"
How and when was this applied? It looks like the entire back of the sub-bodies were spray undercoated with just some overspray on the under body surrounding the sub-bodies. Which looks to me to mean that they were not sealed too well from water getting past the subbodies. The flat area on the subbody that sits against the outside body was not undercoated.
Did they just do a poor job of undercoating or am I missing something?
Thanks, Chris
