    Would a June built '66 owner's manual come in a plastic envelope dated 3-66, with a picture of a key on it?

      Yes ! It should be dated 3-16-66 and have part # 3834959

          If I can turn it arround and ask you one ........Does your spare tire carrier have any markings just inside the V strap...I am looking for the symbols " Mfg" in a circle and the #s 19146 .
          Mine has this and others do not.So I am trying to fiqure out when it started.

              My spare tire carrier lid is marked exactly the same as yours. Thanks for the info.
