    T-3 date code chart

Okay..after all these years..now I can't find all the files..however..here is the small T-3 date code chart...as detailed on one of the original blueprints.

I don't recall ever seeing it published before..so..it should make for some interesting digging through boxes of old T-3's..and for those of you who think your car has the original bulbs!

Terry I have additional data on the early bulbs and the T-3 chronology...and once I find it...I will send it to you for the restorer.

    Enjoy!!

That is a great piece of documentation. I'm just glad it's in the back of the bulbs. It will be neat though to check out my collection and find what the dates are.

Awesome! My 'original' clear triangle, non-DOT T3 bulbs on the passenger side are uh, from September '64 and January '65. Oh well......

Very cool document, Joe, thanks for posting it!

I have several boxes of old T3 bulbs in the Garage that I have not looked at in years.

I might take a few pictures and post some examples.. I think I have a few nos bulbs too.

Thought I'd repost a hint that was given to me at the West Coast regional. If you want to improve the longevity of old bulbs resealing them with silicon over the original seal on the back will extend it's life. The thinking is that the sealant is older and brittle and the adding of new sealant might extend the life of original bulbs.

I just right clicked and then clicked on "save as" opened my pictures file and saved it.

                Oh, my, Joe.

We could talk about T-3s and running changes. Now I see we have even more to talk about.

                    Bill

I had the blueprints for the 1953 headlight bulbs and loaned them to someone to put on display in a well known collection and they sort of disappeared. Oh Well!

I think I still have the 55, 56/57 and the midyear prints.

I need to dig them out.

Now that most parts have been thoroughly discussed we are down to the headlights.

Now that I think of it..the big blueprints would make nice garage art! At least they show that someone can print neatly. It was not my longsuit in drafting class.

Maybe the National Corvette Museum would like these prints.

I was just thinking of another unique feature on the Nassau/Daytona/Sebring car.

It still has the original screen installed in front of the radiator to keep sand out at Nassau and Daytona.

                      Pretty Cool!

If you wish to display your prints, I suggest you have them reproduced at a local "trusted" blueprint shop. Call some of the local architects, engineering consultants to learn of their experiences with the shops. Whatever you do, preserve the originals to prevent light induced fading and display the copies.
