1958; Finishing body off resto. Kept the orig electrical system. All works well except; Right front park/signal on continuous bright (both elements on) and will not flash, Right rear tail and brake work OK but will not flash. I had the steering columb out for rebuild and resoldered some of the male spade connectors on since they tore off during disassembly. When the LEFT side flashes it flashes slowly but otherwise works fine. The front parking/turn light assemblies are new. I double checked their connections to the main front harness and confirmed that all the colors match up. Any troubleshooting suggestions appreciated. Thanks, Ken

Check the socket to make sure the bulb is fully rotated into the correct position, and that the contacts in the socket are not misaligned/damaged.Bill Clupper #618- Top

Re: C1 Electrical Gremlins
If both front and rear bulbs burn but don't flash, you may have a flasher issue or possibly incorrect bulbs. Check that the bulbs are 1157's, as there are other bulbs that fit but are different wattages and may not have sufficient current to make the flasher work.- Top

Re: C1 Electrical Gremlins
Make sure all grounds are clean / connector against metal / not connector against paint. Don't rely on just the screw or bolt that holds the ground to metal to be the contact. Scratch a small amount of paint off around the mounting point just to get the correct ground.
I've seen more restorations with electrical problems as these ground points are painted and people just rely on the outer edge of the bolt or screw going through the metal to make the gournd when it should be the connector and bare metal.1967 L79 Sunfire Yellow Black Leather Convertible- Duntov
