    C-3 Storage

I have a 71 conv. The stogage compartments for the jack and battery have holes in the bottom. What goes in the holes and where might I purchase the "correct" item?

    Thanks

A special rubber "plug" is what goes in the holes to which you refer. It's about 1" long, tapered, and has provisions to allow any water to drain. It was once-upon-a-time available from GM under GM #3948148 but it is no more. You may be able to get these from Dr. Rebuild. If he doesn't have them, heaven help you.

Hey Thomas, I can't help you out with the jack storage but if I'm not mistaken the battery storage compartment had two rubber tubes which ran from the compartment to the battery vent caps. All this to releive the acid fumes, I think. Ken.

        Tom,
The holes in the battery compartment are indeed for two black rubber hoses that vent the battery caps. I have them on my 68 and obtained the CORRECT hoses from Dr. Rebuild in Bridgeport Connecticut. His web site is docrebuild.com
