C1 56 front and rear emblems

    C1 56 front and rear emblems

    Is the emblem bezel on a 1956 supposed to fit tight against the body. My repro's have a 1/16" to 1/8" gap to body. Is this normal/acceptable?

      Harley, Until I checked, I would have said tight against the body.Now that I've checked mine (front & rear) and I can get my fingerail between the body and bezel pretty consistancly all around. Anything 1/16" and over would seem pretty excessive to me. Could the body work be mis-contoured? Regards, Jim

          Jim, Yes the body could be miscontoured! The gap has probably always been there I just hadn't noticed it. thanks!
