67 Convertible Vent Window Disassembly

Is there a trick to taking apart the vent window assembly. I have the regulator off, the window out and the screw and rubber stop at the top of the window track. Do I need to drill a rivet to remove the window track and cat whiskers?

Just did that yesterday. Drill the 2 rivets out and there will be 2 small screws behind the window channel.

Who makes/sells the best/quality fitting

Who makes or sells the best fitting with quality cat whisker, vertical front window channel with cat whiskers for a '67 convertible. It concerns me when an add says "not exact but will fit/work". Oh, I might as well replace the rear lower one too.

If anyone has feedback on chroming the vent frames, I'd appreciate that too.

I recently rechrome mine and it cost $185 for the pair. They were not pitty, so they came out nice.

I got front channel from LICS. You have to use clamps to hold the channel when reinstalling as it does not follow the curve of the vent frame. Kind of PIA. Also, getting the tabs to fold down at the top of the channel was a real PIA and mine have already popped out.
