    "new" NCRS correct replacement parts-C1

Is there any preponderence of opinion out there regarding who might be the best source of new, replacement original parts, especially stuff requiring part numbering and date coding? Among the likes of Zip, Dr. Rebuild, Paragon, Lectric Ltd, etc., are there any who stand out as having a good reputation for providing "correct" parts that are most likely to pass NCRS judging scrutiny for originality? Items such as hoses, ign. tags, carb tags, bolts, clamps, ties, keys/locks, correct sized screws, etc.
    Thanks.

Nope (no 'best of' vendor)... You go component by component, understand what 'correct' is, then research what you're getting on a source by source basis...

      Norm,

No, there are no perfect vendors. As a matter of fact, there are no vendors that even come close to perfect. Each vendor however has their strong suits and it will be your quest to research and purchase from each vendor what they have that is near perfect.

There are no Corvette cook books or magic bullets for restoration of Corvettes.

Asking questions, going to swap meets, technical sessions, local shows and regional NCRS shows as well as the NCRS national will give you the information you need to make informed decisions.

      Regards,

      JR

To reinforce what JR said, go to all of those locations and talk to people. Look at parts and ask questions. Most people at NCRS meets are quite willing to talk about and answer questions about their cars.

Also, there are very few individuals with all the answers so talk to a lot of people. The exception may be Joe Lucia :-)

I agree, the exception is Joe Lucia based on my personal experience and years of following his posts on this Tech Board. (He must speak personally with Zora on a daily basis)
