I quoted the TIJG and early cars of a model year may have carry over parts. The date on the pump would be a way to check it.

      Re: SMOG pump question.

I'm sorry, but I currently don't have a judging manual for my 75. But it seems that there are definately two different camps here - some who say all 75's had smog pumps and some who say the L48 automatic did not. One thing I do know for sure - the smog pump on mine is original to the car. I also know I have seen many other 75's with the pumps and I'm sure alot of them were also L48 automatics. I don't think mine has the pump simply because it is an early production car. Can anyone give a definitive answer or clarification on 75 smog pumps?

What emissions label code and part number is on your original 75 and would it say smog equiped. I help the team leader with changes and would like to gather some facts to help prove the point.

Lyle, I am currently overseas and cannot get that info to you right now. I will be back in the US in a few weeks and will send you a message once I have had the chance to look at the car. I'm hoping that the emissions label is still intact, for some reason my memory tells me it is gone. But the smog equipment is definately original - it has all original hoses/clamps/belt and the diverter valve still has the paper. When I bought the car a couple years ago, had to replace one valve cover gasket but hated to because the covers had never been off. Pulled what appeared to be the original spark plugs.
