I removed the fuel tank from my 1968. Sure enough, the build sheet was there. However, it was in very bad condition. It was covered with about 1/16 inch of oily dust and parts of the sheet had cracked off and were missing. I carefully dusted off the paper, it's very dirty, but a bright light and a magnifying lens, I can read it. (Its dated May 18, 1968) Fortunately, the parts of the sheet that had long since fell away, did not appear to be needed;i.e. were blank parts of the sheet.
My '68 is 37 years old. Many years from now, if someone once again removes the fuel tank, I'd like them to find the build sheet. The one I have really won't survive another 37 years!! Question: Does anyone know where I can get a duplicate build sheet made? Thanks
PS..... I'm not trying to do anything "funny" here. I plan to plastic laminate the original (or seal it in a plastic baggy) and place it back on top of my new tank. But I'd like to have another new clean build sheet made and place it there also.
