getting ready to pull inside heater box but cannot get small round clip off
bowden cable, the clips that hold the cable on. I am also having trouble getting the engine compartment side of, seems really well sealed. any ideas? the project so far has been pretty simple, easy going.
To replace the heater core, you really do not need to pull the firewall side of the heater box. You only need to take the bolts off the firewall side. If you want to pull the firewall side, try adding heat to the sealed edges with a heat gun. Be careful not to overheat. As for removing the cable clips on the inside, try loosening the clip with a small flat screwdriver. Then use a small pair of needle nose wrapped in cloth to lift the clip.
