I am still working trying to understand how to send multiple photos. Like the group Scott sent.

    Re: springs

    Don,

Before considering replacing the spring, install new rubber cushiions. It's hard to tell from your photo how compressed they have become. I received that recommmendation here from Duke recently. I replaced mine, and gained about a full inch and one half ride height and the spring displayed more arc.

      Don,

Your spring looks just about like mine before I replaced the cushions, and I'm happy with it now. Duke's recommendation was excellent.

Duke, at risk of seeming dense where on my photo are the cushions. Don

The four rubber spring link cushions - two on each side. Look at your photo.

How tough are they to replace?

                Don,

The spring cushions are at each end of the bolt that connects the spring to the trailing arm. Like Rob, I also took Duke's suggestion to replace the spring cushions. Will restore ride height and improve handling . My mechanic also suggested replacing the bolts too. You can buy bolts, spring cushions and spring cusion retainers and washers all in one kit from GM about $50. Check archives for part number.

                  Mark,

I've replaced an entire rear spring in half an hour, so the rear end link cushions shouldn't be much different by themselves.
