Re: C-1 1956 gauges rebuilt
I had my tach rebuilt by Corvette Specialties of Maryland over the winter. I was originally quoted around $225. When they were done, it was over $300. I received it back with spots on the inside of the new lens. I shipped it back to be done right. They shipped it back to me without even taking it back apart to clean the lens. They said the spots were on the outside, but yet the spots were still there. I had the opportunity to speak to Brian a couple of times. He feels they do the best work around, and his attitude shows it. They have a very arrogant attitude and don't seem to care if they get any more business from me. There are too many corvette places out there that want my business, and are willing to treat me right.- Top

Mike... C-1 1956 gauges rebuilt
I found the same thing. I called them, they were not that nice over the phone, nor would they give me any kind of an idea of the cost and said that they were at least 10 weeks out. I talked with Mike Freeman of D&M who advertises also in Driveline. He was by far, the best one I talked with and also gave me a quote and would work with me on the time schedule. Guess what, they went off on the UPS truck today to D&M. We'll see just how good he is and how he backs what he says, although, just taling to him, I have great faith in his Company and his work.. (hope he reads this *smile*)- Top
