95 Corvette Admiral Blue?

A friend ask me to find out the rpo number or the Dupont code or other paint codes for the 1995 Admiral Blue Corvette Color. He fell in love with the color and would like to be able to get paint in that color for a bucket-t. Anyone have access to the later model paint codes.

I am not 100% sure on this but I think you are looking for the following information GM # WA128A, Color Code 28. My paint books which are Martin Senour refer to the name as Dark Cloisonne Metalic B/C. It is not uncommon for the aftermarket data to use a different name for a color than the factory does. This is the only dark blue offered for 95 on a Corvette so I think it is the correct one.

My GM information agrees with Roy's, but I have the same question as he. First off, the paint code for 1995 Corvettes with admiral blue paint is definitely code 28. According to my GM reference, paint code 28 denotes "dark cloisonne metallic". This code is WA128A, just as Roy found. So, up to this point, my information corroborates Roy's.


When I looked this up earlier, I thought that the information was faulty inasmuch as I thought that "cloisonne" was a yellowish-green color. Also, I thought that admiral blue was a non-metallic paint. But, the more that I think about it, I do believe that admiral blue is metallic. I can't find any definition for "cloissone", but I expect it is blue. This is the kind of question that a woman could probably answer best. They seem to be more in tune to colors than men

Admiral Blue is also the dark blue used for the 1996 Grand Sports. If you recall, it is metallic. A very sharp color indeed.
