    apropos of Broach Marks/Restamps

Check out the bravado of this Ebay'er, especially since he's selling a '57 Fuelie block in another auction. Wonder if he's a member here?

He is the same "brain trust" that has an EN stamped 57 block. Code for a factory racing engine that according to documents was never built. Has apparently gotten very proud of his work.

            Re: apropos of Broach Marks/Restamps

In his other items he has a "RARE ORIGINAL FUEL INJECTION 1957 CORVETTE ENGINE BLOCK". Condsidering that his "stamps are cleaner, more accurate and several thousand times more precise in their stampings than the factory was and certainly more than anyone else's out there at this time. I can even put the horizontal graining back in the deck", how can one be assured that this block is indeed original? Just curious? If you use his own quotes, it seems that he can make anything he wants.

is there a way to tell if those rods are standard or for a ( S.H.P. ) does a 327/340 shp use dirrerent rods than say a 327/250 hp. thanks

His claim that the rods are from a 62-63 327 is invalid. If they were they would look like the rod on the left. This auction is just another reason why I love this discussion board. The BS sifts out pretty quick here.

Unfortunately, being one cookie short of a dozen is not yet a crime. The guy is more of a threat to himself than anybody else.

TRACY ; your saying that ITEM # 4548300628 on e bay is not correct for a 62-65 shp. are small journal rods used in 66-68 also ? will these rods work on my 1963 327/340 shp. ( 2680 ) small journal steel crank ? THANKS

Agree with Mark, Seems to me this person isn't clear on what is he selling. If these are "small journal" rods, they will fit but who knows if they really are any good. I wouldn't buy used rods to use in a rebuild regardless.

You are MUCH better off to go with something like the ones on this auction..
