Hello all.
I went to a large swap meet Saturday in Coldwater, MI. As soon as we got there we saw, on the ground, in a swap spot that looked like it wasn't yet set up, 3 cases of PF25 oil filters. One case was open and it had marked "$1.00 each". Since it was open, we looked inside and found that they were the original white filters with the emossed bottom! Not repros but in the case originals. Of course the vendor wasn't there so we waited for him to return so we could buy them. He returned and we told him we would buy all his filters he said they weren't for sale that he had just puchased them 5 minutes ago from the guy 2 spaces down. It seems this guy bought out a repair shop and was unloading everything cheap and, yes, he paid $1.00 each for the filters. I asked what he wanted for them because I was still interested in buying them and he said that the last one of these he sold (on e-Bay?) he got $140 for it! Obviously he knew what he had and was going to take full advantage (as well he should). Seventy two original white, embossed PF25's-so close yet so far!
Oh well, you win some and you lose some.
